PICTURE DAY:

Picture day for U6-U19 Recreational Teams will be held this coming
Saturday October 21 at Meadowland Elementary School.  Go to the website to
see what time your team is scheduled to attend.

PICTURE DAY IS HELD RAIN OR SHINE – EVEN IF FIELDS ARE CLOSED DUE TO
WEATHER.  Please be there on time to ensure that your team
picture is not taken without your child.

SYSA will also be holding an Equipment Drive at Picture Day – if you
have jerseys, shorts, shinguards, soccer socks, balls or cleats that are
going unused, please bring them to Picture Day and donate them to a
child who may need financial assistance.  (Please tie the strings of
cleats together.)

SYSA BLANKET SALE

The SYSA Freedom ’95 Girls Travel Team is raising funds by offering a
nice orange and black SYSA blanket for a $25 donation.  They are perfect
to bring to the matches and practices as the weather starts getting
colder.  Take a look at them (or place an order) at:
http://www.active.com/donate/freedom95blankets
The team will be passing out flyers and taking orders at Picture Day.
Show your SYSA spirit and help support our travel teams.

END OF SEASON RECREATIONAL COACHES MEETING

The end of season Recreational Coaches Meeting will be held on
Wednesday November 1st at 8:00 pm at Countryside Elementary School.  One coach
from each team MUST attend.  Patches, Trophies and Team Photos will be
distributed to the appropriate age groups.

GAME DAY REMINDERS

Parents, thank you for your continued great behavior on the sidelines
this season.  Remember to stand back at least 3 yards from the sidelines
for safety and to allow the assistant referees to clearly view the
touchlines.  Please do not question the calls of the referees, they are in
charge of the match and are doing a great job (They will occasionally
miss a call, but that is OK)

THANK YOU TO ALL REFEREES, COACHES AND VOLUNTEERS

As the Fall Season is quickly coming to an end, SYSA wants to take this
opportunity to thank all of our referees, coaches, officers, board
members and other volunteers who have helped make this season go so
smoothly.  As an all-volunteer organization, we could not hold the season
without all of you.  It is just a wonderful sight to walk onto the NOVA
fields each Saturday and see so many Sterling youth and parents together
having a great time.  Thanks to all !!

CONGRATULATIONS ALL-STARS

Congratulations to all of our SYSA players who made it onto an All-Star
team for the up-coming tournament in November.  Good luck in Herndon.
A special thanks to Kris Jensen for taking on the position of All-Star
Coordinator and making all of this happen.  Great job, Kris!
